DESCRIPTION:Fraternal greetings to you from SOCADIDO! \nSoroti Catholic Diocese Integrated Development Organization (SOCADIDO) with support from Sign of Hope (SoH) and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) has entered partnership to implement a project titled “Multi-Actor Partnership (MAP) – Promoting sustainable agriculture and value chains among smallholder farmers in Teso\, eastern Uganda.” The Teso MAP platform named Ateker Development Foundation (ADEFO) coordinated by SOCADIDO\, is poised to mobilise and work with 40 partners in Teso and beyond coming from different sectors including Civil Society\, Private Sector\, Research and Academics\, Farmer Associations/ Farmer groups\, the City/District Local Governments\, and Media. \nThe main objective of the project is Improvement of the socio-economic situation of smallholder farmers in the Teso region through strengthened\, inclusive and sustainable agricultural value chains\, supported by a functional multi-stakeholder partnership (MAP) platform that strengthens coordination\, innovation and ownership. \nThe project is implemented in 5 districts and 1 City; Kabermaido (Alwa and Aperkira)\, Katakwi (Getom and Magoro)\, Kapelebyong (Alito and Akoromit)\, Ngora (Mukura and Kobwin)\, Soroti (Awaliwal and Ocokican) Sub-Counties\, and in Soroti City (Amen and Agama Wards) in West Division and (Opuyo and Aloet Wards) in East Division. \nThe main objectives of this activity are to create an understanding of the project idea and ownership among the stakeholders\, the expected impacts\, the goal\, scope and objectives\, as well as the specific objectives and activities of the target group. The participants will have the opportunity to ask questions\, provide feedback and discuss the various responsibilities.
